Top News of 'Saddam Hussein nephew' in Austria

A nephew of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein who is wanted by Iraq for membership of a terrorist organization has claimed asylum in Austria saying he feared persecution, Austria's interior ministry said on Friday.
A MAN claiming to be the fugitive nephew of late Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein has requested asylum in Austria after being picked by police in a routine identity check, media reports say.
Police spotted the 42-year-old man in the company of two other Iraqi men on Thursday at the train station in Traiskirchen, some 10km south of Vienna, Austrian broadcaster ORF reported.
Bashar N. has been on an Iraqi wanted list since 2006, the spokesman said, but added that he was not under arrest. His identity was established by fingerprints.
Asylum proceedings are now under way in Austria, the spokesman said. Regardless of his origin, everyone has a right to a legal process.
Kronen Zeitung said an international warrant was out for the man's arrest amid long-standing efforts by the Iraqi authorities to bring the relatives of Saddam Hussein to justice.
The daily Kronen Zeitung named the alleged nephew as Bashar N who has been on a wanted list since 2006.
One of the men later told Austrian police he was a nephew of Saddam Hussein, Grundboeck said, adding that the man's request for asylum was being examined.

Humanity for All Animal

Recently Researchers in China led by Ning Li, the director of the State Key Laboratories for AgroBiotechnology at the China Agricultural University, have created cow milk similar to human breast milk which could one day replace the need for baby formula that’s Currently cow milk is not readily digested and absorbed by human infants,

so for those mothers who choose not to breastfeed or who are unable, the only current alternative is formula. Many argue that infant formula is inadequate in providing the full nutrients an infant needs.

Human milk contains numerous proteins as well as human lysozyme (HLZ), which is a key in fighting bacteria and boosting an infant’s immune system.

South Korea TV show opens

Lee Seo-youn rehearses a dance routine she'll perform in a couple of hours in a TV studio. Slender, graceful and dressed in a form-fitting hot pink maxi-skirt, Lee looks like a South Korean celebrity.
As a regular panelist on South Korean television's "Eje Mannareo Gapnida," which airs on cable's Channel A, Lee is one of a dozen or so female North Korean defectors featured on the program.
Part talk show and part talent show, the title translates as "Now On My Way to Meet You," a name that conveys the program's goal of raising awareness between average North and South Koreans.
It has been well received by the South Korean public for its unique approach to the prickly North Korea issue since it debuted in December, with mostly positive reviews and a growing viewership.

Although Pyongyang, North Korea's capital, and Seoul, the South's, are only 120 miles apart, the North remains an unknown land to many here. Media in the South generally adopt a solemn tone when covering North Korean defectors' stories, but this program handles the sensitive topic using humor and a light touch. The defectors act as a window allowing South Koreans a peek at the closed society next door.
With help from three moderators, about a dozen North Korean women compare and contrast the two Koreas' language, culture and customs with a panel of four male South Korean TV personalities.

Microsoft Unveils Surface Tablet to Rival IPad Challenge

Software giant Microsoft unveiled its first tablet computer, Surface, in a major hardware launch clearly designed to take on long-term rival Apple's market-ruling iPad. Microsoft has unveiled Surface, a tablet computer to compete with Apple's iPad.

Chief executive Steve Ballmer described the iPad challenger -- complete with a built-in stand and ultra thin covers-cum-keyboards in a range of colors -- as a tablet that "works and plays."
CEO Steve Ballmer announced the new tablet, calling it part of a "whole new family of devices" the company is developing.

One version of the device, which won't go on sale until sometime in the fall, is 9.3 millimetres thick and works on the Windows RT operating system. It comes with a kickstand to hold it upright and a touch keyboard cover that snaps on using magnets. The device weighs under 1.5 pounds and will cost about as much as other tablet computers.

The size is similar to the latest iPad, which is 9.4 millimetres thick and weighs 1.3 pounds. Microsoft also promised that the Surface's price tag will be similar to the iPad, which sells for $499 to $829, depending on the model.
Microsoft's broadside against the iPad is a dramatic step to ensure that its Windows software plays a major role in the increasingly important mobile computing market.

The Surface is a PC, the Surface is a tablet, and the Surface is something new that we think people will absolutely love, he said at an hour-long presentation in a Hollywood design studio.
No prices or release dates were given, but the Surface is expected to go on sale in the fall, with retail prices "competitive with a comparable ARM tablet or Intel Ultrabook-class" computers, Microsoft said.
There were spontaneous bursts of applause and whoops from tech journalists and bloggers as key features of the new tablet, which has a slightly bigger screen than the iPad, but in wide-screen movie-style 16:9 format.
"They are saying it's a different world now and are trying to put the sexy back into the Microsoft brand," said Gartner Inc. analyst Carolina Milanesi.
Each tablet comes with a keyboard cover that is just 3 millimetres thick. The kickstand for both tablets was just 0.7 millimetres thick, less than the thickness of a credit card.
Microsoft, which built its fortune by specializing in software and leaving the job of making computers or other devices to partners, has had mixed results from its hardware ventures.
"This product marks a crucial pivot in Microsoft's product strategy," said Forrester analyst Sarah Rotman Epps.
"We designed this like a book. This spine feels like a book," Michael Angiulo, vice president for Windows Planning, Hardware & PC Ecosystem told the audience.
The Surface features a flip-out rear "kickstand" to prop it up like a picture frame and can be combined with a 3mm-thick Touch Cover that, when opened, acts as a keypad so tablets could be switched into "desktop" mode.
There is also a 5 mm-thick Type Cover with moving keys for a more traditional typing feel.
A version of the Surface tablet running on Windows RT software tailored for ARM mobile device chips will measure 9.3 millimeters thick and weigh 676 grams.
It boasts a 10.6-inch (26.9 centimeter) high-definition screen and will be available with 32 or 64 gigabytes of memory. A model powered by Windows 8 Pro weighs 903 grams and will be available with 64 or 128 gigabytes of memory.
Research In Motion's attempt last year to challenge Apple's dominance in the tablet market failed to deliver a threat to the iPad.
Steven Sinofsky, president of Microsoft's Windows division, called the device a tablet that's a great PC — a PC that's a great tablet.

Great Tablet PC of Microsoft

Microsoft Dives Head-First Into Mobile Hardware With Two 10.6-Inch Tablets.
Microsoft is now a full-fledged, no-excuses mobile computing manufacturer that’s Forget about operating systems. Forget about mice, keyboards and snoozy computer accessories.  A pair of Windows tablets accompanied by clever keyboard covers that aspire to true innovation in the mobile space On Monday a team of excited executives showed off Microsoft Surface.

“It’s a PC that is a great tablet, and a tablet that is a great PC,” said Steven Sinofsky, President of the Windows and Windows Live Division.
Sounds simple enough, right? No, most decidedly not. Surface is much, much more than a new tablet platform. It’s also Microsoft’s challenge to every hardware partner in its stable.

“Its a bold move on the part of Microsoft,” says Gartner analyst Michael Gartenberg. “This is a real change in strategy for them, and it’s certainly a vote of no confidence for their partners. This shows how high the stakes are. There is competitive pressure from Apple that is clearly a threat to their business. Steve Ballmer seemed to be channeling Steve Jobs on stage, saying hardware and software have to be designed to together.”
We covered the new Surface tablets in exacting detail in our live blog of Monday afternoon’s event. But here’s the cheat sheet if you just want the quick, hard facts.
Microsoft Surface comes in two iterations: One running Windows 8 Pro on top of Intel Silicon (an Ivy Bridge chip with yet-to-be-defined specs), and one running Windows RT on top of Nvidia silicon (perhaps the next iteration of Nvidia’s Tegra family — neither nVidia nor Microsoft is currently sharing specifics). The two tablets share a common industrial design language, including bezeled edges angled at 22 degrees, and physical chassis made of “VaporMG,” a fancy-schmancy new material that aims for a tactile finish worthy of a high-end, luxury watch.
“When you put it in your hands, it feels elegant,” said Panos Panay, the general manager of the newly announced Surface division. “When you touch it, you’re going to want to hold it, I promise you.” VaporMG can be molded down to a thickness of 0.65mm — thinner than a credit card and comparable to a hotel room key, as Panay demonstrated at the event.

Vaccine for Justin Bieber fever

Top and Tips of Justin Bieber isn't performing on TODAY 'til Friday, but since Tuesday, fans have been camping out in the plaza to stake spots near the stage. Sara Haines took to the streets to talk to some young ladies who are braving the rain in the name of "Baby" love.

She spoke to a dad who had driven five hours to hold a spot near the stage for his daughters, and to a couple of adolescent girls who had been sleeping in the street since 6 a.m. Tuesday. Teenage girls: America's most reasonable people.
"Do your parents know about this???" Sara asked some children, sounding concerned.
When will there be a vaccine for Bieber fever? In the meantime, expect to hear the screams no matter how far from New York City you live. Justin Bieber's ear bling.

Fashion Tips for Young Men

If you’re a youthful guy and want to look pulled together and stylish, follow these 10 fashion tips for young men. It will take some effort and attention to current fashion, but it will be worth it when you get noticed for your polished look. These 10 fashion tips will help you get there.

Wear clothes that fit. Oversize shirts or pants that are too tight can be distracting and make you appear to be trying too hard. If you can’t find something on the rack that fits, buy the size that fits the largest part of your body and have it tailored.
Wear clothes that are suitable for the occasion. In other words, don’t wear an outfit to a job interview that you’d wear to a rock concert.

Get rid of wrinkles. Iron your shirts and trousers or use a steamer. The rumpled look isn’t a good style for anyone, including young men.
Keep your shoes polished. All the fashion tips in the world are pointless if your shoes are scuffed and worn out.

Your belt should be in the same color family as your shoes. You’ll look more pulled together and fashionable.
Wear dark socks with dress pants. Nothing looks dorkier or more out of fashion on a young man than white socks with a suit.
Keep your underwear where they belong—under your outerwear. You can follow fashion tips ‘til the cows come home, but exposing your skivvies isn’t cool.
A well made leather jacket is a must-have in any young man’s wardrobe. Nothing says confidence better than a man in a hot looking leather jacket.
Every man needs a versatile blazer. Wear it with dress slacks and a button-down shirt or throw it on over a T-shirt and jeans.
Find out what colors flatter you. Walk a wide berth around anything that makes you look sickly, fat or tired.
Even more important than following ten fashion tips, young men should exude confidence as they step out into the world. This is the time to enjoy being you.

Top News of Clinton’s Tax Talk Echoes

Bill Clinton and I disagree on many things, but when it comes to stopping this massive tax hike on Jan. 1, we agree,” said Senator Orrin Hatch of Utah, the top Republican on the Senate Finance Committee. “It’s my sincere hope that President Clinton’s call for action will spur this president to finally lead and prevent the larges tax increase in history, a tax increase that would devastate our already weak economy.

The former president attacked Mr Romney and contrasted his austere budget plans with Mr Obama's stimulus-orientated response to the 2008 financial crisis that saved jobs and the US car industry.
The former president’s comments in an interview this week that Congress “will probably have to put everything off until early next year” when it comes to the question of extending the Bush-era tax cuts are playing well in Republican quarters on Capitol Hill.
Mr Clinton said Mr Obama deserved a second term because of his record in stewarding the economy through a "miserable situation" and "the alternative would be, in my opinion, calamitous for our country and the world.

“Even Bill Clinton came out for it before he was against it,” House Speaker John Boehner said today, echoing the words that Republicans had for Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts when he was running for president.
Boehner, an Ohio Republican, says extending the current tax rates for at least another year would help “provide some certainty to job creators.”
The intervention during a whistle-stop round of fund-raising events in New York came as both campaigns intensified their attacks on their respective candidates' records as job creators while in office.
Mr Clinton and Mr Obama were accompanied on Air Force One by the rock star Jon Bon Jovi who performed an acoustic version of his anthem "Living on a Prayer" for guests at the Waldorf Astoria. The three events raised an estimated $3.6m for the Obama campaign.
Mr Clinton's attack appeared to atone for his remark last week that Mr Romney had a "sterling" business record, a verdict that was unhelpful to the Obama campaign which has tried to paint the former boss of Bain Capital management consultants as a rapacious "vulture" capitalist.
Summers, who served as Treasury Secretary under Clinton and as a White House economic adviser to Obama, said today in an appearance on MSNBC: We’ve got make sure that we don’t take the gasoline out of the tank at the end of this year… That’s got to be the top priority. We’ve got to make sure that we keep providing energy to the economy.
Bill Clinton has charged that electing Mitt Romney to the White House this November would be "calamitous" for America and the world, warning that Republican plans for steep spending cuts would stifle the US economic recovery.

It is a fact that while men have many occasions to interact with each other through formal or informal networks, women dont have any such opportunities. Why?
Because you dont have enough Social Value to the girl yet.
