An unusual flying object has
landed at New York's Kennedy Airport.
It's the space shuttle Enterprise. Before
arriving Friday morning, it zoomed around New
York City's airspace, riding on top of a modified
jumbo jet.
The shuttle prototype was brought
from Washington.
The heralded event included
low-altitude flyovers over landmarks including the Statue of Liberty and the
Intrepid on Manhattan's
west side.
It's eventually going to make its
new home in New York City at the Intrepid Sea,
Air and Space Museum.
It won't move into its new home
until June. It's scheduled to be open to the public in mid-July.
In the meantime, the Enterprise will remain at
Kennedy.
Amazing limousines are now providing a shuttle services.
