Sharif Osman Hadi Is a Name of Heroism

Sharif Osman Hadi (শরীফ ওসমান হাদি) is a heroic freedom fighter of what is known as Bangladesh’s “Second Independence,” the July 2024 struggle. He is currently a Bangladeshi political activist, speaker, and spokesperson of the Inqilab Mancha. 

In the post–July ’24 mass uprising period, he has emerged as a frontline, courageous organizer and a thunderous voice advocating for the rights of the July martyrs and for politics opposing Indian hegemony. 

According to some supporters, he is no longer just an individual, but a symbol—a name synonymous with heroism.

Brief Profile of Sharif Osman Hadi:

Role: Political activist, speaker, spokesperson of Inqilab Mancha

Recognition: Gained prominence for his active role in defending the rights of the July martyrs and in movements calling for the banning of the Awami League during the post-uprising period

Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of Inqilab Mancha and a parliamentary candidate for Dhaka-8, who was receiving treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital after being shot, has been sent to Singapore for advanced medical care. 

Today, Monday (December 15, 2025), at 1:51 PM, he departed Dhaka for Singapore by air ambulance. Earlier, at 1:15 PM, he was taken out of the hospital.

According to doctors, there has been no significant improvement in Hadi’s condition, nor any major deterioration. However, due to the risk of infection and to ensure advanced treatment, the medical board collectively decided to send him abroad. 

Dr. Abdul Ahad, a resident physician at the Department of Neurosurgery, Dhaka Medical College, said that Hadi has been handed over to the Singaporean medical team.

It may be noted that on December 12; while returning after election campaigning, Sharif Osman Hadi was critically injured by terrorists’ gunfire near the Bijoynagar culvert in the capital. 

The bullet entered the right side of his head and exited through the left. In critical condition, he was first taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and later admitted to Evercare Hospital.

Sharif Osman Hadi is a name of heroism. He is not merely a political activist, but a symbol of courage, ideals, and struggle. His firm stance against injustice and fearless role in defending the rights of the people have set him apart.

Even in the face of a life-threatening situation, he did not bow his head; rather, his determination and sacrifice have inspired many. Despite being shot, his morale did not break—this is true heroism.

The selfless courage he has shown in working for the country, society, and the people proves that Sharif Osman Hadi is not just a name, but an ideal—a living embodiment of heroism.

Sharif Osman Hadi is also known as a political voice opposing Indian hegemony. He takes a clear stand against foreign influence in order to protect Bangladesh’s sovereignty, political independence, and national interests.
