Rahul Gandhi's politics is not to become Prime Minister

Priyanka Gandhi said the central focus of her Brother Rahul Gandhi's politics is not to become prime minister and the question does not arise at the moment. "I do not think that is the central focus of his politics. We have an extremely good prime minister. We are fortunate to have a person who is honest and works well and I don't think this question arises at the moment," Priyanka told the media in Rae Bareli.

She was replying to a question on whether the time has come for Rahul to become Prime Minister, a demand that is frequently made by sections within the Congress.
The 40-year-old daughter of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who was all-praise for Rahul and his contribution to building up the Congress in Uttar Pradesh, said he is more concerned about his work than worrying about how the election results would impact his reputation.
She was replying to a question on whether the time has come for Rahul to become prime minister, a demand that is frequently made by sections within the Congress.
On a campaign trail in poll-bound Uttar Pradesh, Priyanka also backed Union Home Minister P Chidambaram, saying she feels "sad" about the attacks on him in the 2G spectrum case when he has an "onerous and huge" responsibility towards the people of this country.
"You see the political career of Rahul Gandhi that whether he should be the party president or Prime Minister, but neither he nor us see it that way...he is more concerned about what he is doing.

She alleged that there has been corruption and lack of law and order in UP for the last 22 years.
“Work of the people is not done. People are fed up,” she said.
Priyanka also rubbished charges that Rahul’s politics was not about development.

Herman Cain accuser got $35,000 year's salary in settlement

The National Restaurant Association gave $35,000, A year’s salary in severance pay to a female staff member in the late 1990s after an encounter with Herman Cain.

Krauthammer pressed Cain further on the race issue in order to get a more definitive response. Cain responded that the left side of the political spectrum might be more racially driven than the right.

GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain fielded questions during multiple Fox News interviews on Tuesday night, appearing on Report with Bret Baier as well as "The O'Reilly Factor."    
The woman was one of two whose accusations of sexual harassment by Mr. Cain, now a Republican candidate for president, led to paid severance agreements during his 1996-99 tenure at the association. Disclosure of the scale of the severance further challenged his initial description of the matter as a ‘witch hunt, as did new descriptions from the woman’s friends and colleagues of her level of discomfort at work.
The lawyer for one of two women who reportedly accused Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain of sexual harassment in the 1990s said Tuesday he had asked their former employer to waive an agreement and allow her to talk openly about her allegations.

The newspaper cited three sources as saying that the woman, then an employee at the National Restaurant Association, was given the amount – a full year's salary – after saying the encounter with Cain had made her uncomfortable.
Mr Cain, a former pizza company CEO who has led recent polls, was chief executive of the association at that time. 
The candidate has denied any wrongdoing but admitted on Tuesday that a woman who accused him of sexual harassment received a paid settlement in the 1990s.
Mr. Cain also kept a dinner appointment with a small group of Republican senators at a Washington steakhouse near the White House. He arrived through a parking garage and entered a private room in the basement of Bobby Van’s, which allowed him to bypass a cluster of reporters who gathered outside.
Politico said it had started asking Cain's campaign about the allegations on Oct. 20 — 10 days before the story was published late Sunday.
